Hello! I'm Cam Anh Nguyen, an illustrator spreading joy through art from the vibrant city of Hanoi, Vietnam. It's lovely to meet you!

I work in traditional media, primarily watercolor, gouache, ink, and colored pencils. I received the Highlight Foundation Kidlit Women Scholarship in 2024 and the We Need Diverse Book Mentorship Program in 2025.

Growing up in a family that cherished nature, I learned early to observe and empathize with even the smallest creatures in my father’s garden. This connection to the natural world remains at the heart of my work, where I feel most rooted and creatively alive. My stories often explore two themes: the bond between people and nature, and the cultural heritages that tie us to our communities. These passions also guide my collaborations with conservationists, animal protection groups, and traditional artisans.

I value clarity and good communication at work. But above all, it is about having fun, being passionate, and being authentic while doing it!
